Our plane tickets have been ordered for China.
We leave Charlotte at 10:00 am on September 14th, connect in Chicago and arrive in Beijing at 3:00 pm (3:00 am EST) on September 15th.
On the return flight, we leave Hong Kong at 12:45 pm (12:45 am EST) on September 27th, connect again in Chicago and arrive in Charlotte at 6:48 pm EST on the same day.
Home stretch!
We have about another 9 months to a year on our wait for our daughter from China - just made it under the wire for renewal of our USCIS goodies with fee waiver.
Congratulations to your family. Can’t wait until we undertake a similar journey - just medicate me for the flight.
Isn’t that free renewal just the greatest? We came so close to needing it. Our paperwork expires October 10!
Maybe you can just fly the plane yourself, Don, and then it won’t be such a bad trip.

Our Whitley’s “gotcha” date was Sept. 17 and we flew Friday, Sept. 13, 2002. But be aware…it was awfully humid during that time as well. Pack some warm weather clothes.
