1. The kitchen trash can smells like something crawled into it and died.
2. Eliana and Karys brushing their teeth at the same sink at the same time is about as successful as mixing oil and water.
3. Karys said she didn’t want her Wiggles DVDs anymore. I just don’t know that I can part with those.
4. If burping at the table after a meal is any indication that you enjoy the food, Eliana r-e-e-e-a-a-a-l-l-y enjoys the food!
5. Another One Bites the Dust by Queen was playing as the soundtrack to an old cartoon Eliana was watching. On the Disney channel. I sang along and Eliana was like, “You know that song?? How do you know that song??”
6. Zane asks “why?” 99.9% of the time when we tell him to do something. He’s as bad as a 4-year-old and I’m about ready to scream.
7. Karys went to preschool today but Eliana and Zane were home because of a teacher workday. Actually they stayed at my mom’s house this morning. But tomorrow is another teacher workday and they’ll ALL be home. All day. Poor Nancy-Coe.
8. It’s been one month since Christmas?
9. You mean there were football games yesterday?
10. I’ve been in touch with an adoptive family that we haven’t seen in… oh… probably 3 years. And that makes me very happy. Not because we haven’t seen them in 3 years but because we’re finally back in touch.
Put those Wiggles DVDs on a closet shelf. One of these days she may ask for them again. If not show them to her when she’s 18! Who knows—30 years from now they may be REAL antiques!
Good luck on the burping. I told them that in some cultures your host would be offended if you didn’t burp after a meal BUT that’s not the way it is HERE!
And my answer to Zane when he asks why…Because I said to! (Actually sometimes I will exlain if I know he is asking for a legitimate reason but most of the time I think it is because he likes (loves) to tease and this is one way he teases.)
When I read these thoughts last night, I laughed and told Art that Zane is just teasing when he asks “why”—just picking on his Mom and Dad!
Oh, it broke my heart when Gloria wanted to give away her Wiggles DVD’s. They are still in the back of the cabinet. But don’t tell her!!
