100 things about Karys (or rather 31-40)

31. She burps a lot.
32. Her hair is curly.
33. She loves to sing.
34. Her favorite color is red.
35. She enjoys chewing gum.
36. She is a very light sleeper.
37. She desparately wants pierced ears.
38. She’s quite bossy and tries to order Eliana around.
39. She likes to have music playing when we’re in the car.
40. If Carmi or I are on the phone, she’s right there wanting to talk too.

100 things about Karys (or rather 21-30)

21. She lets us know when her diaper needs changing.
22. She thinks light switches are amazing inventions.
23. She wants someone to lay with her at bedtime.
24. She insists on feeding herself.
25. She talks jabbers a lot!
26. One of her most oft-used phrases is “bao bao” which means “Pick me up!”
27. She feels naked without a sippy cup in her hand.
28. She likes to whisper in our ears.
29. She enjoys the occasional swig from Starbucks.
30. Hang nails (and Eliana) aggravate her.

100 things about Karys (or rather 11-20)

We haven’t had Karys long enough to find out 100 things about her so we’ll share tidbits as we go along. The first 10 are here. Now for numbers 11 through 20:

11. She likes jewelry.
12. She stomps her feet when she’s mad.
13. She doesn’t want any stuffed animals on her bed when she sleeps.
14. She likes baths.
15. She would wear her squeaky shoes 24-7.
16. She still drops to the floor and crawls occasionally.
17. She likes to make funny faces.
18. She’s becoming a ham for the camera.
19. She is NOT a morning person.
20. Her concentration is intense while trying to figure something out.

What we’ve learned in one week

We’ve been home a full week with Karys. Here’s a short list of ten random things that we’ve learned about her so far:

  1. She is ticklish on her neck and down her back. I love to gooch her and listen to her giggle before the squeals of aggravation start.
  2. From all early indications, she’s going to be a prissy girl. She can’t stand for the tiniest little spot of anything to be on a finger.
  3. She does not like for the cats to come around the dinner table when we’re eating.
  4. She does not have a constipation problem. In fact, she’s quite regular.
  5. She will eat - or at least try - any food that you put in front of her.
  6. The girl can sleep. She has slept through the night from day one.
  7. She can put her own shoes on and on the correct feet.
  8. She loves to have her teeth brushed.
  9. She seems to favor her right hand.
  10. She’s a tattletale.
